From the Dev’s Desk: The Clan Wars matchmaking system has been overhauled with fairness of matching in mind. It aims to provide a more competitive and fun warring experience for all Clans. Due to these changes, some Clans might find they have to wait a little longer than the average 5-minute to minute matchmaking time they are used to. We’ll be rolling out these changes to Clan Wars matchmaking over time after the update goes live to allow us to fine tune our servers to the demands of the new system. The changes coming to Clan Wars matchmaking are as follows: In the Clash of Clans dev team, we know well that Clashers in the war community are very passionate about this subject. For those interested in more details, read on for additional discussion about the changes that will be going live during the next update. Previously, the system placed equal weight between offensive army and defensive village progress, allowing for confusing war matchups between players with relatively over-strong or over-weak defenses.
In Days of War, bullets are what matter, not kill-streaks, not wall jumps, and certainly not drone strikes ordered from iPads. We’ve introduced stretch goals in advance so you can see what to expect should we exceed our goal. Each new country will come with new weapons, characters, and a new map. All backers Early Access level and up will receive a console key should those goals be met during the campaign. We are building Days of War for one reason only:

I want to explain how the Clan War Matchmaking works, how you can affect the Matchmaking, and also discuss if this really has an impact. How Clan War Matchmaking Works Basically, you and your clan members get points for everything you have — you get defensive points depending on the Levels of each of your Defenses, you get attacking points for your Troop Levels and Spell Levels, your Heroes levels, and what you, theoretically, could create to attack someone. These numbers are added up and are used to match against another Clan with the most similar attacking and defending scores.
The first thing is easily understandable — if there is no match for your clan in the first few minutes, the algorithm gets more cloudy. This can result in being matched against a weaker Clan or even against a stronger Clan. The longer the Clan War Matchmaking takes, the more likely you will get matched into an unfair Clan War My approach is simply canceling the Clan War Matchmaking after 5 minutes.
I consider this a big secret for how you can make the matchmaking more fair for your Clan. The next one is the equity of your Clan — if you have 50 members taking part in the Clan War and 10 of them are Town Hall 10, 10 are Town Hall 9, etc. Urban Myth about Clan War Matchmaking You remember my personal trick of restarting the Clan War Matchmaking after minutes to get a more fair match?
If you have read the first part of the post you know that Trophy count has absolutely nothing to do with Matchmaking at all. Just adding some low-level player to the Clan: Basically, you will give your opponents lots of easy 3 star bases, but your whole Clan will not get ranked that much lower so you can get the same amount of additional stars. Time of the day:
Clash of Clans Update: Clan War Matchmaking Improved
There are some things that you as the individual participant can do right and wrong and your upgrading is one part. In this post, you will see some techniques in your upgrading behavior that might help you perform better overall. Simply spoken, each upgrade you do makes your Clan appear stronger in the matchmaking algorithm, no matter how much this upgrade helps you individually.
This leads to the second point. You want to prioritize upgrades that will help you a lot. These will make you stronger overall and not only make you count stronger in the total matchmaking weight.

Today, Supercell brings a new update in Clash of Clans, i. The very first boost, the 1 Gem Collector Boost, is completed along with the second phase of boosting just began — which I love even more. If you want more about update you can read it that words by Supercell! Thoughts about the idea to bring the first 5 levels of the Grand Warden to Town Hall
Clan Wars matchmaking has been overhauled War sizes 35v35 and 45v45 have been removed to boost other war sizes New stat “War win streak” in Clan profile shows how many consecutive Clan War wins a Clan currently has.
In a game of strategy, information is power, so arm yourself with these clan wars secrets and get a leg up on those other Chiefs. Related Video Prefer to watch rather than read? Picking who you want to participate Clans range in size, and Clan Wars is designed to accommodate that. What is much less obvious, is who participates and how they are listed.
Participation Update While this section was true when the article was first written, Supercell has updated the way clan wars participants are chosen since we wrote it. Now you can explicitly opt in or out to wars. In case there are too many members opted in to join a war, the most powerful clan members are chosen rather than whoever has the most trophies.
So for example if you have 12 members, make sure they drop till they are 11 or War Map Listing Somewhat counter-intuitively, the Clan War Map lists each participating clan member based on their upgrades. Often this will result in a sorting by Town Hall level, but it is possible for highly upgraded clan members for their level to be listed higher than a fellow clan member with a higher Town Hall level.
Pro Tip The War Map is a great way to assess the upgrades-based pecking order of your clan. If you are recruiting, or assessing new recruits, keep an eye out for those that rank highly among peers at the same Town Hall level. Warning Upgrading your Town Hall too soon has lots of downsides, and now there is another one. Players who rush to upgrade will find that they may rank lower on the War Map than highly upgraded clanmates with a lower level Town Hall.
What is the best Town Hall 9 War Base?
Firstly, thank you to Supercell for very nice additions and tweaks to the game, they are welcomed. I’m particularly looking forward to mass Witch attacks again and even a revival in GoHog. Secondly, speculation as to what ‘Continued balancing changes to Clan Wars matchmaking‘ actually means is being debated. Some say the devil is in the detail in the latest update: What isn’t directly being addressed by the CoC team is engineered bases in war.
Matchmaking is the alternative to fighting against the AI/computer-controlled Clans. This takes place against real-life, human opponents. This takes place against real-life, human opponents. The opponent you are matched up with them depends entirely on your Trophies.
It was officially announced on 8 November at BlizzCon Warlords of Draenor is the first expansion pack to exist primarily before the main timeline, and depicts a timeline that branches from the original. Warlords of Draenor comes in three versions: On 3 April , Blizzard announced that the Warlords of Draenor closed alpha test had begun. The expansion’s external “Friends and Family” phase began on June 5, and the beta test began on 27 June A union of great orc clans, the Iron Horde, tramples the planet Draenor beneath terrifying war machines.
Worlds uncounted will follow. You must mount a desperate charge on Draenor — savage home of orcs and adopted bastion of stoic draenei — at this pivotal moment. Your allies are legends from across time; your fortress a foothold in an alien land. Lead the armies of one world against another…before the future itself is unmade.
Before the trial can conclude, aided by an ally who can manipulate the timelines, Garrosh escapes to Draenor of the past, and prevents the orcs from ever drinking the blood of Mannoroth , creating an untainted Iron Horde under the leadership of Grommash Hellscream. The ancient draenei champion Vindicator Maraad from Wrath of the Lich King will accompany the Alliance’s expedition through the portal, while the Horde’s faction rallies behind by Thrall.
All level players will begin in the Tanaan Jungle pre-Hellfire Peninsula , and for newly boosted level characters, the quest line will be edited to help you get up to speed and ready for taking on the challenges to come. Once the threat at the Dark Portal has been temporarily dealt with, Alliance and Horde players will go their divergent paths.

In Air Realistic mode, matchmaking is performed based on the aircraft selected for the battle. Since the vehicles not selected cannot be used in the battle, there is no need to include them in the calculation. In Ground Forces Arcade mode, matchmaking is performed based on the tank with the highest BR in the set. In Ground Forces Realistic mode, matchmaking is performed based on the tank or aircraft with the highest BR in the entire set depending on which vehicle has the highest BR.
Many players have a preference for several modes. For their convenience, there is a ” vehicle preset ” mechanism, which allows players to save preferred and frequently used vehicle arrangements in their hangar. This allows players to prepare for any type of battle in just a few clicks. Matchmaking by Bracket Air Simulator battles use this matchmaking method.
When the player opens the Air SB interface, they will see several identical missions where the only difference is the BR of the permitted aircraft. All you have to do is select the desired battle rank and assemble the required aircraft in your set. When the player opens the Tanks SB interface, the names of the vehicles permitted for the current battle will be clearly displayed. Battles are regularly updated, so the team composition options also change.
Overall I like the feature, and some warts aside, I think it makes CoC a better game. The big things for me are the fact that every attack, from all 15 participants, matters. The wars are no longer about the upper bases cleaning up, or about the lower bases not mattering as much defensively since they will get rolled anyway.
Now everyone matters, and not only do you have to execute your one attack well, you have to do so in all 7 wars for the clan to overall win. The second thing I really like is watching the League leaderboard and seeing which clans are doing well, and which ones are closest to challenging you. This makes eventually facing a clan close to you in standing matter that much more, and during the war you get a good feel for how competent or not the other clans are.

Summary Clan Wars is a feature that was added in the Version 6. Bonus loot is your prize for winning the war. The bonus can be increased by winning attacks , but most of it is lost if your clan loses the war. Once a Co-Leader or Leader starts a Clan war search, the clan is put into the matchmaking pool, and it may take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours for the matchmaking process to find a suitable clan in war. While the Clan War search is ongoing, Co-Leaders or Leaders can cancel the war search at any time, but once a match is found, canceling the war can no longer be done and the war enters its preparation day.
Strength calculations have been updated in Clan Wars matchmaking to compensate for high level walls and heroes, skeleton traps, etc.
